Tile Reglazing
Project Overview
The Problem
The brown wall tile in this Northridge shower made the enclosure feel dated, with visible discoloration along the joints and lower sections. The owner wanted to refresh the tiled surfaces while keeping the existing corner shower.
Our Solution
We prepared the tiled surfaces and reglazed the shower walls in white. The work followed the existing tile layout, including the corner and the walls beside the shower opening. It was a wall finish project: the shower pan remained in place.
The on-site work took approximately four hours. Work time and the time required before using the shower are separate.
The Result
The white finish gives the walls a more consistent appearance and changes the look of the entire enclosure. The grout pattern and layout are still recognizable in the paired photographs. The contrast with the retained shower pan also makes the scope of the wall work clear.
Updating Shower Wall Tile in White
The photographs show a wall color change, with the original tile pattern still visible and the shower pan retained. This is useful when the existing layout suits the bathroom and the main goal is to refresh the tiled surfaces.
For a similar Northridge project, identify which walls and edges you want included. Send close-ups of the joints, corners and lower wall sections as well as an overall view. Loose tile, damaged grout or moisture concerns need assessment before the coating scope is confirmed; a white surface finish does not establish what is behind the tile.
