Peeling Bathtub Finish Renewed in Encino
An Encino bathtub with peeling areas in an earlier coating refinished in white within its existing tile surround.
Bathtub Refinishing
Project Overview
The Problem
Peeling areas in a previously applied coating left the interior of this Encino bathtub uneven. The patches contrasted with the surrounding white tile. The project addressed the existing tub finish within the current bathroom.
Our Solution
We prepared the worn surface and applied a fresh finish to the bathtub interior. The fixture stayed in place, with the tile surround and fitting positions retained. The on-site work took about three hours, followed by a separate curing period.
The Result
The finished interior has a more consistent white appearance across the basin. The paired views include the same wall tile and fixture positions, making the change from the peeling coating to the renewed surface easy to compare. Refinishing updated the tub while preserving the existing bathroom layout.
Considering Another Refinish on an Existing Tub
This Encino project involved an earlier coating with peeling areas. A previously refinished tub needs an assessment of that coating as well as the fixture underneath. Preparation depends on the condition that is actually present when the work is scoped.
Tell us when the earlier work was done if you know, and send photographs of the whole interior and the peeling edges. Include any repair history. We can then discuss preparation and finish renewal for the installed tub, with curing and care instructions confirmed for the chosen system.
